| Popular Culture and Christianity Whether in Gospel portrayals such as Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ or in heretical works like Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, Jesus remains a subject of fascination in pop culture. |

Another bogus cliam made by cheistian fun duh MENTAL ists who say they spotted a submerged chariot wheel under the red sea.Others looked at it and couldnt see it.Nothing but a bunch of corals.Kinda like seeing faces in clouds.Seeing what you want to see. Some of the photos have been faked according to experts besides the wheel is NOT of Egyptian style.Besides it seems many language experts feel that the old testament didnt mention the red sea,but the sea of reeds.Even lets say they did find a chariot wheel in the red sea or the sea of reeds for that matter. It wouldnt prove anything. It would be like finding a pair of sandels in Isreal and saying its proof that Jesus walked the earth. In spite of this sillyness my niece and nephew who go to bible college tell me this is being taught as a matter of fact. http://www.arkdiscovery.com/redsea2.htm

![]() shitty picture of supposed "chariot wheel". ![]() picture of a bronze steamship handwheel recovered from the sea floor. ![]() shitty picture of supposed "chariot wheel". ![]() more handwheels bearing an incredibly remarkable resemblance to said "chariot wheels". you decide. i would wager a guess that someone has a powerful suspension of disbelief... one last one for clarification of common handwheels

The first picture looks more like one of those hand wheels, but the second doesn't look quite the same.
For one thing, it has 9 spokes, more than those handwheels. Second, the center hub is raised about an inch. The submerged wheel in the second picture appears to have a smooth hub. Have they ever dragged the waters? Sonar? Thermal imaging, anything of that nature? How hard have they looked? Love, Goth_Slut

9000 chariot wheels might be significant BUT...
All this means is that an Egyptian fisherman discovered that a chariot wheel makes a good anchor... WORLD ENDS AT 6:00! Film at 11:00.... |

Not to mention, all those guys were probably carrying heavy mail, and weaponry too. Chariots themselves too.... Love, Goth_Slut

...They chose 'the way of the wilderness by the Reed Sea' (Ex.13.18) This, and not 'Red Sea', is the correct rendering of the Hebrew Yam Suph, and it is highly improbable that we should identify it with the northern arm of the Red Sea known today as the Gulf of Suez. In the first place there are no reeds in the Red Sea. in the second place the biblical account implies that the Reed Sea was the barrier between Egyptian soil and the desert: if the Red Sea were meant, it would have been necessary to cross a considerable tract of desert to get to it.
